The head of the Court Nº3 of Huércal Overa has sent the prison warrant to the Director of the Penitentiary Centre El Acebuche, for the three North African detainees, accused of having participated in a gang rape on the 21st of May on the beach of Los Nardos de San Juan de Los Terreros, Pulpí.
The Guardia Civil carried out a complex operation from the outset to clarify the facts, carrying out a meticulous ocular inspection to identify and collect evidence and elements to clarify the incident.
The development of the investigation initially led to the identification and arrest of one of the perpetrators, and subsequently the identification, location and arrest of two other people involved in the events.
The judge has now ordered them to be remanded in custody without bail for a crime of sexual assault and in view of the risk of the assailants escaping, as they have no evidence of having roots in the area.
According to the investigation, the events took place at around 9.10 p.m. on 21 May when one of those investigated «used violence against the complainant to take her to a secluded place and sexually assault her, acting in collusion with two other companions, taking advantage of the circumstance of superiority and intimidation».
