A man dies of immersion syndrome while bathing in La Puntica

Bathers found him floating unconscious in the water at La Puntica beach in San Pedro del Pinatar. They were the ones who contacted 112. The rescuers were given instructions over the phone to begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but it did not work.

Once the emergency services arrived, they continued with the resuscitation work, although they were unsuccessful and were unable to save the life of the 70-year-old man.
