It should be remembered that the festival, organised by Crash Music together with the Culture and Education Department of Almería City Council, will hold its first day of the welcome party on 18 August on the Esplanada del Parque de las Almadrabillas, while Friday and Saturday, 19 and 20 August, will be the big days at the Recinto de las Almadrabillas, will be the big days at the Fairground Concert Venue and that, in addition, on 19, 20 and 21 August there will be concerts in other parts of the city with the Faluca stage, in front of the Auditorium, with the Gastromusical Route, with Cooltural Kids or with the Chilemúsica stage, whose times and locations will be revealed in the near future.
The Councillor for Culture, Diego Cruz, has positively assessed the final line-up of the festival “as it offers numerous attractions for a very heterogeneous public and, moreover, with a spirit of renewal that combines the attraction of very contrasted bands with the strength of a large number of emerging groups that are going to take over the front line in a very short time, as the ‘coolters’ themselves know and recognise”.
Much more than a festival
In addition to the strictly musical offer, Cooltural Fest continues to work, hand in hand with the Foundation ‘Music For All’, as it has done since the beginning, to be much more than a festival, but responding to the new challenges that mark a present more committed to obtaining a more egalitarian society, which has led it to be recognised as the most accessible and inclusive festival in Europe and also, together with its other lines of social action, has earned it the official certification that it complies with the criteria that align it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030) in a correct and clear way and for this reason it has been awarded the GECA Seal of Guarantee SDG 2030, by the Andalusian Association of Cultural Management Professionals (GECA).
In five main concerts (which will be those of Izal, Shinova, Pol 3,14, Rozalén and Guitarricadelafuente) there will be Spanish sign language interpretation, vibration transmitters – vibrating backpacks, live subtitles, audio description, listing of the lyrics of the songs that will be performed, magnetic loop system. These measures will be the same, and must be requested in advance via https://coolturalfest.com/accesibilidad or https://coolturalfest.com/lectura-facil. They can also request support staff for the enjoyment of the festival (on the above websites). Throughout the festival, there will be other accessibility measures such as accessible bars, preferential spaces in front of the stage and stage with height, seats, toilets, accesses…
In addition, there will be a ‘Violet Point’ against any kind of violence or harassment, coordinated by the Red Cross, and a Music For All Point, which will have information and inclusive assistance “Music for all”, loan of materials for the enjoyment of the concerts (helmets for children, earplugs, crutches, wheelchairs…), support staff, sensory friendly space or call point for attendees with hearing disabilities through visual video-interpretation. Last year, Amaral, Love of Lesbian, Vetusta Morla, Miss Caffeina, El Kanka or Viva Suecia, for example, were already involved in this initiative, and people with hearing disabilities were able to enjoy a concert for the first time.
In addition, people with accredited functional diversity can apply for a 20% discount on tickets on presentation of the official People with Disabilities card (33% or more).
