The Andalusian Employment Service (SAE), which depends on the Marble School of Fines -National Reference Center for Vocational Training in Extractive Industries-, opens today June 15 and until September 21, the deadline for submitting applications to participate in a new training itinerary that will allow 15 unemployed people to acquire a complete preparation in the specialty of ‘Auxiliary operations in natural stone processing plants and digital skills’.
The itinerary will be taught between November 2022 and March 2023 with a total of 415 teaching hours that include internships in companies and training in basic digital skills (60 hours) and job placement and job search techniques (15 hours). Students who complete the itinerary will be qualified to work in natural stone processing plants and will be able to apply for the level 1 certificate of professionalism.
The units of competence included in this training itinerary cover the handling of natural stone blocks, blocks and blocks; the handling and conditioning of products, consumables and machinery in installations and stone processing and the treatment and processing of minerals and rocks; and the handling of loads with forklift trucks and overhead cranes and hoists.
In order to participate in this training action it is necessary to be registered as a non-occupied job seeker in the SAE and no academic degree or professional experience is required.
Applications can be submitted telematically through the General Electronic Presentation of the Junta de Andalucía. They can also be submitted in person at the Territorial Delegation of Employment, Training, Self-Employment, Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities or at other official registries.
Those belonging to the following groups will have a higher score: young people under 30 years of age, women, people with disabilities (for whom one of the 15 places will be reserved), people affected by and victims of terrorism, women victims of gender violence, people at risk of social exclusion, people with the status of refugees/asylum seekers or returned Andalusian emigrants.
The students are entitled to receive the grants and aids established for unemployed people participating in training actions of Vocational Training for Employment for transportation, food, lodging and reconciliation with the care of children under six years of age or dependent family members, and grants for assistance to people with disabilities and certain groups of unemployed people established by the SAE and which require a differentiated action to facilitate their qualification or requalification to enable their participation in specific programs.
This itinerary is the last of the eight training actions that make up the programming of the Marble School of Fines 2021-2023, which includes seven itineraries of various specialties and a course of teaching of the FPE. The program totals 3,910 teaching hours, with internships in companies, and is aimed at 120 unemployed people. The training responds to the needs of natural stone companies and the occupations most in demand in the sector.
New itinerary for programming CNC machines
The application period for registration in the training itinerary of programming and operation of numerical control machines (CNC), a specialty that, in Spain, is only taught in the Almeria center, is still open until August 23. It will take place from October 2022 to April 2023, with a total of 615 teaching hours, and includes qualification in another specialty that is in high demand both by marble companies and other activities: handling loads. In addition, training and job orientation will be provided to students so that they can learn about employment support resources and increase their chances of finding a job.
In order to participate in this training action it is necessary to be registered as a non-occupied job seeker in the SAE and have the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education or equivalent.
