The announcement this past Monday by the Mayor of Albanchez, Amador López Pardo, who has made public his decision to stand in the next municipal elections under the Popular party, is the prelude to what will apparently be a series of announcements to be made by those who until now belong to Ciudadanos, a party which did not achieve any representation in the last regional elections.
It is to be expected that sooner rather than later, the mayors of localities such as Los Gallardos, Tíjola and Lúcar will make their decision public.
The reasons put forward are not unknown to anyone; the near extinction of the orange party and the warmth received during this legislature by the administrations governed by the PP – which have made it possible to undertake necessary infrastructures in these municipalities – mean that the decision will not surprise anyone.

The Populares are increasingly strong in the Almanzora region and in the province of Almeria. The Provincial Council has been working very closely with the 103 municipalities of Almeria and the Junta de Andalucía, as expressed by the electorate, has the margin and confidence to continue working in the direction set by Juanma Moreno.
Thus, in the coming days, it is expected to officially know the transfer of mayors who next year, will compete in the elections of their people, under the umbrella of the PP, a formation that currently has the wind in its favour, which, according to the calculations of the councillors, will benefit the growth and development of their municipalities.
