The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia developed in Torre Pacheco (Murcia) the operation ‘Rupa’, which has culminated with the identification, location and arrest of a minor as the alleged perpetrator of theft with force in a restaurant in a residential area of the municipality of Torre Pacheco.

During the development of the operation, the Guardia Civil also attributed to the detainee the alleged perpetrator of the crime of damage, for the assault on a family pantheon in the cemetery of Torre Pacheco, and another theft committed in a library in the town, according to sources from the Benemérita in a statement.

The actions began at the beginning of June, when the Guardia Civil opened an investigation to clarify a robbery committed in a restaurant in a residential area of Torre Pacheco, where, after breaking the fence and main entrance door of the establishment, the perpetrator gained access inside and stole cash and alcoholic beverages.

The first steps of the operation were taken at the scene, where the investigators carried out an exhaustive technical-ocular inspection that allowed them to gather all possible evidence about the modus operandi and the perpetrator of the robbery.

As a result of the investigations carried out, the Civil Guards identified the alleged perpetrator. He was a young man who, despite being a minor, already had a record for similar offences, as he had been arrested during the course of this operation for being linked to another robbery committed in the municipal library of Torre Pacheco.

Once all the necessary evidence had been obtained, the Guardia Civil set up a search operation for the suspect, which culminated in his location and arrest as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with force in the restaurant.

A few days before his arrest, while the search operation was active, the Civil Guards were alerted to a crime of damage committed in the cemetery of the municipality of Pacheco, where the perpetrator jumped the perimeter fence that closes the facilities, went to a pantheon and caused damage of varying degrees, mainly to the door that closes the pantheon.

The investigation carried out to clarify this crime of damage led the Guardia Civil to establish that the same young man was allegedly behind the robbery of the restaurant, which is why he was also charged with this crime.

The Guardia Civil has closed the operation ‘Rupa’ with the arrest of the young man as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of robbery with force, committed in the restaurant and the library, and a crime of damage committed in the cemetery of the municipality.

The detainee, along with the proceedings, has been placed at the disposal of the Murcia Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
