The Corporate Social Responsibility Awards are still open until 30 September
This Provincial Council initiative is consolidated among a productive fabric that is showing a growing interest in a management model that is making a comeback in Almeria’s society.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Awards organised by the Provincial Council have established themselves as one of the benchmarks in the province to promote and encourage this model and best practices in the productive fabric of Almeria. Each year, this competition distinguishes micro, small, medium and large companies that promote projects to build the Almeria of the future through their involvement in the social, economic and environmental improvement of the 103 municipalities.

Almeria companies wishing to apply for this call can do so until 30 September. The Deputy for Employment, Economic Promotion, European Initiatives, Trade and Enterprise, Carmen Navarro, said that “we have just passed the halfway point of the deadline and we do so with the satisfaction that more and more companies are interested in a management model that has a direct impact on Almeria’s society. Many companies have called us to express their interest in these prizes, which are then donated to social projects run by NGOs in the province.

The awards have three categories, one for micro and small companies, a second for medium-sized companies and a third for large companies that have their registered office or work centre in the province. The prize in each of the categories is 3,000 euros, which each of them will be donated to a non-profit organisation with charitable purposes in the province.

The deadline for submitting applications is now until 30 September. Applications can be submitted through the electronic registry of the Provincial Council of Almeria: www.dipalme.org – Trámites online.

Navarro recalled that “Corporate Social Responsibility is economically and socially profitable and projects an image of a productive fabric committed to society and its environment, allowing a very positive return. In these five years, this concept is more present in companies than ever before”, he added.

The winners of the 2021 edition

Last year, in the 2021 edition, the Diputación CSR Awards went to Crash Music, Luxeapers and Primaflor in the categories of micro, medium and large companies. In addition, due to the high level among the aspiring companies, the jury decided to award a special mention to Servicios Geríatricos Almería (GERIAL).

Crash Music donated the prize funds to the Music for All and URA Clan foundations; while Luxeapers donated them to ‘A Toda Vela’ and Primaflor to CEPAIM Almería.
