The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia has arrested an individual who allegedly assaulted a resident of Torre Pacheco with a knife in the vicinity of a local entertainment venue in the area, according to sources from the Armed Institute.
The incident took place on the terrace of a café, when a young man was approached by another individual who reproached him for looking at him. After this, he suddenly pounced on the victim and stabbed him in the face with a small knife.
A medical ambulance was called to the scene and treated the injured man and transported him to the local health centre, as he had an incised wound on his cheekbone.
The suspect, a known criminal resident of the municipality of Pacheco, left his home to avoid arrest, but three days after the attack, the Benemérita located and arrested him.
He is a male, of Moroccan nationality, 30 years old and with a long criminal record for crimes against property and people, who is allegedly responsible for the crime of injury with a knife.
The detainee and the proceedings have been handed over to the court of San Javier (Murcia).
