IX Conference on Local History of Tíjola
The talks end today, under the title “DNA and the mysteries of history”.

On Tuesday 2 August, the conference on the local history of the municipality of Tíjola began and will end this evening at 8 p.m. in the Fidela Campiña Cultural Centre, when “DNA and the mysteries of history” will be discussed.

The provincial deputy, Concepción Pérez, together with the mayor of Tíjola, José Juan Martínez, took part in the inauguration of the IX Conference on Local History of the municipality, which took place at the ‘Fidela Campiña’ Cultural Centre.

Bastetania and Alto Almanzora’ was the theme presented by María Juana López, PhD in Ancient History and Professor at the University of Almería. The provincial deputy congratulated and congratulated the Historical-Cultural Association of Tíjola for its support and promotion of culture: “these conferences are not only of a local nature, but also deal with regional and even provincial issues due to the common history that unites us all from Almería”.

He also added that “institutional collaboration is key and necessary to carry out this type of actions that contribute so much to the development of our society. You will always have the Diputación on your side to promote the history, culture and heritage of everything that has to do with the province of Almería.
