A 70-year-old man died on Saturday on the beach of Bahía in Puerto de Mazarrón, reported Emergencias 112 Murcia.
At 20.40 hours, Emergencias 112 received a report that an unconscious man had been pulled from the water. The victim had suffered immersion syndrome, a thermal shock when he came into contact with cold water.
The medical staff were unable to revive the victim and he died at the scene.
The Local Police of Mazarrón, the Guardia Civil, an Emergency Medical Unit and Emergency Medical Services intervened.
