The Royal Spanish Lifesaving and Rescue Swimming Federation has published the minimum marks necessary to participate in the four competitions in which they are required in the next season 2022/2023.
These are the 1st Spanish Individual Junior, Junior and Absolute Championships (10 and 11 December 2022), the XXXVII Spanish Junior and Cadet Winter Championships (4 and 5 February 2023), the V Spanish Junior and Cadet Spring Championships (22 and 23 April 2023) and the XXXVII Spanish Junior, Junior and Absolute Swimming Pool Championships (5, 6 and 7 May 2023).
In a circular addressed to the regional federations and clubs, the High Level Director, José Miguel Rodríguez Ferrero, who also holds the Sports Directorate, points out that «in line with the work structure created for this cycle, these minimums have been analysed by the group of technicians and support techniques of both the High Level Directorate and the Technification and Improvement (in this case directed by Ana Domínguez Pachón), thus offering the greatest possible technical sports consensus».

This technical group is deployed throughout Spain and is made up of the heads of regional federations and clubs that work with the lifeguards and offer first-hand information to the federation’s sporting structure, of which they form part.
The circular also explains that «participation in the aforementioned competitions, in addition to the minimums, is extended to cover four heats per category and sex in the first three events mentioned and five in the case of the last one, efficiently controlling the participation and duration of each competition».
