Don Juan Tenorio’, a well-known and much-loved classic for the municipality of San Javier, will arrive for the first time at the International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance. This play, performed by the Friends of Tenorio Theatre Company, is one of the surprise shows that the event has included in order to «bring not only to the people of San Javier but to all those visitors during the summer, the wonderful work they have been doing for years,» said the Councillor for Culture, David Martinez.
The head of the area presented the event accompanied by Elvira Pineda, director of the show, and some of the actors starring in this classic that since 2014 is represented in the cemetery of the municipality for the celebration of All Saints, except for the last two years due to the pandemic, and that, for the first time, will be on stage at the Auditorio Parque Almansa. This company was the first to perform the play in the cemetery and is currently in charge of the San Javier Theatre Group.
For Elvira Pineda, it is a pride to have been invited by the festival, thanking the constant commitment that the municipality makes for culture and theatre. Pineda pointed out that they have put «a lot of enthusiasm and perfection» into the preparation of this play in order to offer «the best performance and many surprises».
The performance will take place on 22 August at 22:00 and admission is free until full capacity is reached.
