Emergencies 112 Andalusia has managed a total of 780 incidents in the province of Almeria during the August long weekend, between 15:00 hours on Friday 12 and midnight on Tuesday 16, dates marked in the coordination rooms by the high number of road trips due to the summer holidays. This figure represents a decrease of 13 percent compared to last year, due to the fact that this year this holiday period has lasted one day less than in 2021, according to the service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Board.
The 780 emergencies attended to in the province represent 8.3 percent of the total for the Andalusian community, where 9,312 warnings have been coordinated.
Most of the calls to the Junta’s single telephone number in the province of Almeria were for medical assistance (355), followed by cases related to public safety (142), traffic incidents (70), fires (45) and traffic accidents (43).
The busiest day for 112 was Saturday 13 August, with 251 coordinated emergencies, and the time slot with the most calls was between 11:00 and 12:00, when 145 alerts were handled.
In the provincial balance, Almeria was the fifth province with the most calls, after Malaga (2,482), Seville (1,857), Cadiz (1,288) and Granada (1,109). Huelva (662), Jaén (585) and Córdoba (549) were less active.
The 112 service coordinated 2,810 emergencies in the provincial capitals. Almeria was also fifth (184), after Malaga (997), Seville (776), Granada (265) and Cordoba (249), compared to Huelva with 153, a total of 101 in Cadiz and 85 in Jaen.
