It will be played in the individual Stableford modality in three categories for Gentlemen and one for Ladies, with prizes for the first three classified in each category and Scratc Prize.

Sport and solidarity coincide again in the V Golf Tournament Villa de San Javier to be held on Saturday 27 August at Roda Golf to benefit the Isabel Gemio Foundation, organized by the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Rare Diseases Association of San Javier, Roda Golf and TheMagicGolf.com, with the collaboration of the City Council of San Javier and local companies.

The Tournament, whose entire proceeds will be dedicated to the research of various projects through the Isabel Gemio Foundation, was presented this morning at the Town Hall of San Javier with the participation of the Mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Sports, Sergio Martínez, along with Germán Tezanos, president of the organizing association; Moisés Escudero, representative of the Golf Federation of the Region of Murcia and Andrés Pintado, from the adapted golf committee and director of the magazine TheMagicGolf.com.

The Tournament, which already has 118 players registered, will be played in the individual Stableford modality in three categories of Gentlemen and one Ladies, with prizes for the first three classified in each category and Scratch Prize. Registrations are still open through www.rodagolf.com . The registration fee, which includes green fee, refreshments, trophies and prizes, is 55 euros for visitors, and 40 euros for members and juniors.

The founder of the tournament, German Tezanos, was convinced of the success of this new edition, as has happened in the past and thanked the collaboration of the City of San Javier, the Federation, Roda Golf and collaborating companies, to make it possible. Tezanos recalled that the proceeds will go “entirely” to the Isabel Gemio Foundation.

The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo referred to the Villa de San Javier Golf Tournament as a “sporting, tourist and solidarity” event, pointed out the seasonal value of golf for tourism and highlighted “the consolidation of the Tournament in one of the best courses in Spain”, in reference to Roda Golf, where on Saturday 27 August the solidarity power of sport will be demonstrated once again, also highlighted by the Mayor of San Javier, who thanked the organisers for their efforts.
