The PP Secretary for Education, Francisco Alonso, stresses that a total of 33 actions will be carried out for a total of more than 10.7 million euros.

The Secretary of Education of the PP of Almeria, Francisco Alonso, has highlighted the boost that the Government of Juanma Moreno is giving to the bioclimatisation and installation of solar panels in schools in the province of Almeria, a measure already implemented in the previous legislature and that will mean the improvement of 33 schools in municipalities such as Olula del Río, Huércal de Almería, Garrucha, Almería capital, Rioja, Níjar, Macael, Benahadux or Tabernas.

Specifically, Francisco Alonso explains that work is already underway in 10 schools in preparation for the start of the next school year. These are the IES Al-Ándaluz, Bahía de Almería, Los Ángeles and Nicolás Salmerón Alonso, as well as the CEIP Inés Relaño and Juan Ramón Jiménez in the capital; IES Campos de Níjar and San Isidro in Níjar; IES Mediterráneo in Garrucha; and the IES Manuel de Góngora in Tabernas. With the sum of all these actions that are already underway, the investment will be close to 2.7 million euros.

According to the PP Secretary for Education, this is yet another example of Juanma Moreno’s commitment to the province’s educational infrastructures and the “biggest commitment in history to the bioclimatisation of schools and green energy in Andalusia”.

“With measures like this we will be able to put an end to the extreme heat situations that occur at the end of the school year or the cold that occurs especially in inland municipalities during the winter. Now the children of Almeria will be able to go to school in a healthy and suitable environment regardless of the weather”, he explains.

Francisco Alonso recalls that all these actions are part of the Bioclimatisation and Renewable Energy Plan launched by the Government of Juanma Moreno with an investment of 140 million euros in 400 Andalusian centres.

“The Bioclimatisation Law was the first to be approved at the beginning of the previous legislature and thanks to it we are going to gradually achieve that educational centres will have much better climatic conditions than those they had during the period of Socialist governments. Juanma Moreno promised it and he is fulfilling it”, he concludes.
