Cantoria 2017 are preparing to play the Copa Andalucía and the start of the Divissión de Honor Andaluza, Group 2 championship on 26 September.
The team coached by the Ricardo Mora-Juanma Sánchez tandem, play this afternoon in Mojácar for the 40th edition of the “San Agustín” trophy at 20.30, a match that will serve the aurinegro as part of the pre-season.
The team has been reinforced with the incorporation of Moha, a 22 year old central defender who has played in the 3rd division for Poli Almeria, Velez Malaga -with whom he was promoted to 2 RFEF- and Pozo Blanco (3rd division GRPO X).
Franciskillo who returns to Cantoria -where he played two seasons ago-, a very experienced player for the right back who will bring solidity to the defence.
Another returning player is Leo, an experienced striker who will add dribbling and goalscoring ability to the Almanzora side.
Vicente – a central defender who can play in several positions -, and Andrés – a Colombian-born midfielder – are already training with the first team.
With Estepona having bought Extremadura’s place in the Segunda RFEF, Cantoria 2017 have raised the bar after last season’s good performances that took them into the group of teams with the highest ambitions in the category.
