The alleged perpetrator of the hit-and-run accident involving a minor in Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia) has handed himself in to the local police.

The incident took place on Avenida Región Murciana in the municipality, in the direction of Almería. Apparently, the minor was travelling on the road with an electric scooter and was hit by a blue vehicle.

After the corresponding investigations, the Local Police identified the alleged perpetrator, a 22 year old man, and went to his home to arrest him.

As he was not at home, a relative informed the alleged perpetrator of the hit-and-run who subsequently went to the Local Police headquarters to hand himself in.

The injured woman is stable and out of danger, although she is still being kept sedated and under observation, according to the same sources.
