A 32-year-old man died on Monday afternoon in a fire in a house located in Crucero street in the Los Mateos neighbourhood, in the municipality of Cartagena (Murcia), according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Centre of the Region.
In addition, health services have treated another 28-year-old man for an anxiety crisis and a girl of 8 who has had to be transferred to the hospital Santa Lucia, in the port city, for having inhaled smoke.
The ‘112’ has received several calls from 16.23 hours alerting that there had been a fire behind the school in the neighborhood.
Firefighters from the Fire Fighting Service (SEIS) and Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena, patrols of Local Police and National Police, an ambulance and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) of the Emergency and Emergency Management 061 have moved to the scene.
