The Deputy Secretary General for Participation and Transparency of the PP of Almeria, Maribel Sanchez, and the Secretary for Volunteering, Rafael Alonso, wanted to thank the Civil Protection volunteers for the “great selfless work” they do every day in the province, collaborating with the emergency services to respond to the challenges that arise in each of the 103 municipalities of Almeria.
Sánchez Torregrosa highlighted the “human quality” of the men and women who make up the 29 Civil Protection groups in the province with approximately 700 volunteers, people who selflessly and with great professionalism are “at the foot of the cannon” whenever they are needed.
“From the Partido Popular of Almería we are very grateful to all the members of Civil Protection to whom we want to convey our support for their daily work and for the important work they carry out, especially during the most complicated years as a result of the pandemic,” he said. In this way, she added that “during this period marked by Covid, the civil protection volunteers have been a fundamental pillar for our province, highlighting the exemplary collaboration and coordination between all the operatives”.
The PP deputy secretary also stressed the need for the administrations to get involved and support the work of Civil Protection. In this regard, she thanked both the Provincial Council, the Junta de Andalucía and the municipalities of the province for their commitment to these groups, which are a benchmark and which are growing every day thanks to the altruistic involvement of many people from Almeria who give up a little of their time and work to help others.
