Moreno considers the role of the provincial delegates to be key
The President of the Junta de Andalucía presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the provincial delegates at the Palacio de San Telmo.

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the provincial delegates this Tuesday at the Palacio de San Telmo. He urged them to increase the confidence, credibility and solvency of the Andalusian Government province by province and town by town, and to attend to the concerns and problems of the Andalusian people and to promote their hopes and projects.

This afternoon, Arancha Martín was sworn in as Government Delegate in Almería; Mercedes Colombo as Government Delegate in Cádiz; Adolfo Molina as Government Delegate in Córdoba; Antonio Jesús Granados as Government Delegate in Granada; Bella Verano as Government Delegate in Huelva; Jesús Estrella as Government Delegate in Jaén; Patricia Navarro as Government Delegate in Málaga and Ricardo Sánchez as Government Delegate in Seville.

Moreno has stated that this new team of delegates of the Andalusian Executive takes up the baton with the mission of going further and taking a new step in the approach to citizens in the eight provinces.

With regard to the territorial organisation of the Junta for this Legislature, he said that the structure maintains the same number of territorial delegations as before, despite the addition of two more regional ministries, while at the same time he assured that some of them have been unified in order to adjust the Junta’s response to the needs and expectations of the Andalusian people as precisely as possible.

Thus, he alluded to two key principles such as moderation and efficiency, which will continue to mark the management of the Andalusian Government, an efficiency which, he said, is in line with the great challenges that lie ahead, including tackling the energy crisis, the runaway rise in prices and the dramatic drought that is decimating the countryside and which poses a direct and serious threat to something as fundamental as water consumption.

The Andalusian president stated that all these challenges require the different public administrations to come to an agreement and work together, and stressed that collaboration between the Andalusian government, local councils, provincial councils, associations and local and provincial organisations is key, and that the regional government’s delegations have a fundamental role to play in this.

“We are beginning a moment of maximum collaboration between the Junta de Andalucía and the local entities and to carry out this complex, exciting, meticulous, intense and necessary task we have an excellent team in our eight provinces,” he added.

On this point, he insisted that politics must be an act of audacity and of fleeing from routine, conformism, inertia and comfort, and he urged everyone to go out to meet the Andalusian people to try to solve their problems and concerns. “Sensitivity, closeness and active listening are very valuable tools and levers of change that help to promote projects, to solve problems and to know and understand what is happening in order to respond”.

To conclude, he said that we are living in complex times in which the vocation of service is becoming an even greater challenge, to which he stressed that the provincial delegates of the Junta are the face, the voice, the hands and even the heart of the Executive before the councils and town councils in all towns and cities.
