La Manga del Mar Menor is celebrating its fiestas this week, which will feature the traditional “casetas” which will return to the fairgrounds of Plaza Bohemia, where they will open with their gastronomic offer from Wednesday 7 September until Sunday 11. The festive programme will have daily activities with the fairgrounds as the epicentre, with live music, performances, such as that of the magician Enrique de León, children’s entertainment, a motorcycle rally and a route of the tapa, among other events.
The Fiestas de La Manga 2022 return without limitations after the pandemic and will be welcomed with great enthusiasm by the neighbours as was made clear during the presentation of the festive programme in the facilities of La Manga Consortium with the presence of its manager Victor Gonzalez, the councillor of Fiestas of San Javier, Isidoro Miñano, his counterpart in Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba and representatives of the Association of Culture, Sports and Leisure of La Manga.
The councillor for Fiestas de San Javier, Isidoro Miñano highlighted the variety of the programme for all ages and the desire to relive the festivities as before the pandemic. Miñano recalled the sporting part that could not be missed, with a programme organised by the City Council of San Javier, through the Department of Sports, which includes a paddle tennis tournament on Thursday 8, a cycling route on Saturday 10 September, and two sessions of workout training on Tuesday 6 and Thursday 8 in the municipal pavilion from 09:00 to 10:00. Gymkana, surfing and kayaking classes will complete the sporting activities on offer.
