The members of the Partido Popular of Vélez Blanco have participated this weekend in the Local Congress which has approved the new leadership which will be chaired by Maria Pareja as president and Luis Manuel Martinez as secretary general. Both have surrounded themselves with a renewed team made up mostly of young people from the locality who intend to transform the municipality so that it can finally occupy the place it deserves in the province.
María Pareja thanked the PP members for the trust they have placed in her and pointed out that all the members of the Local Board will work hard to ensure that the municipality progresses and prospers in the way its residents deserve. To this end, the local PP leadership hopes to continue to receive the support of administrations such as the Diputación Provincial and the Junta de Andalucía, both of which are governed by the Partido Popular.
Together with her, the acting mayoress, Ana López, explained that there are many projects that the PP has in mind for Vélez Blanco, projects in which the collaboration of the nearest administrations is needed to continue improving streets, rural roads or really bet on the rehabilitation of the castle, a symbol of the province of Almería.
“Our town was in a deplorable situation three and a half years ago, but now everyone can see how little by little the change that the residents wanted and that our municipality deserves is taking place. Velez Blanco is finally improving its services and infrastructure and the best is yet to come because we are going to give our all to have the pavilion we have fought so hard for, a residence or to continue improving our rural roads and our roads,” he said.
The PP members of Vélez Blanco were accompanied by the Deputy Secretary of Organisation of the PP of Almería, Fernando Giménez, the Deputy Secretary of Infrastructures and Mobility, José Antonio García, the Deputy Secretary of Participation and Transparency, Maribel Sánchez, and the regional coordinator of Vélez, Concepción Pérez.
Fernando Giménez highlighted the important work that the councillors are doing in the Town Hall and was convinced that together with the new local executive of the PP the party will add up and become the most voted force in the next Municipal Elections.
“You are an example for everyone and now you have an ally in the Diputación and the Junta who will help you to finally have the municipality you deserve. With your work you have managed to ensure that the provincial plans that were not being implemented have now been converted into real investments for the municipality. And at last I can assure you that Juanma Moreno’s government is going to invest as it deserves in your jewel in the crown, your imposing castle”, she explained.
Finally, the Deputy Secretary for Participation and Transparency, Maribel Sánchez, encouraged the new members of the PP to feel very proud of the party’s acronym and what they represent with Juanma Moreno as president of the Junta de Andalucía, Javier A. García as president of the PP in Almería and very soon with Alberto Núñez Feijóo as president of the Government of Spain.
Sánchez Torregrosa has highlighted the commitment of the Junta de Andalucía to the municipality and its imposing castle, which is already taking the necessary steps, after many years of neglect under the Socialist Party, to rehabilitate it so that visitors can enjoy its beauty and that of its surroundings and the residents of Vélez Blanco can feel proud of this jewel of heritage.
