The City Council of San Javier will assume during this course the cost for families to use the “Aula Matinal”, which operates from 07:30h to 09:00h. in the schools of Infant and Primary of the municipality. The Councillor for Women and Equality, Ana Belén Martínez informed today that her department will allocate around 80,000 euros from a direct subsidy from the Ministry of Equality, through the Department of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families, Social Policy and Transparency, “to finance a service aimed at facilitating work-life balance and which is included in the Corresponsables Plan”.
Ana Belén Martínez added that with a forecast of 280 places, it is hoped to reach all the families who demand the “Morning Classroom”, in the eight educational centres where it will operate from 15 September. The centres that will offer this service are CEIP El Mirador, CEIP Joaquín Carrión Valverde, CEIP Severo Ochoa, CEIP La Paz, CEIP El Recuerdo, CEIP Sagrado Corazón, CEIP Fulgencio Ruiz and CEIP Nuestra Señora de Loreto. The application period has opened today September 5th and will remain open until September 7th at 23:00h. The application form can be downloaded from the municipal website under the tab “San Javier Suma por la Igualdad” and can be submitted once completed through the electronic office or at the Registry of the City Council of San Javier or the Social Services Centre by appointment on 968 190782. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The Councillor for Women and Equality, Ana Belén Martínez, recalled that this service, which was being provided in some schools, will become free in the municipality and placed the initiative “within the framework of the grant for the development of the Plan Corresponsables, which aims to start the path towards the guarantee of care as a right from the perspective of equality between men and women”.
