For yet another year, the people of Tíjola accompanied their patron saint in the procession through the main streets of the municipality.
The Government delegate made the journey along with the local residents and authorities in the procession in honour of the Virgen del Socorro, the patron saint of the town of Tíjola since 1575.
Aránzazu Martín, together with the mayor, José Juan Martínez, and the rest of the local authorities, took part in the solemn Eucharist in the Church of Santa María. These liturgical celebrations are held on the occasion of the local festivities.

It should be remembered that this year marks thirty years since the Virgen del Socorro was named perpetual mayoress of Tíjola.
