Personnel from the Guardia Civil of the Almeria Command, within the framework of Operation Aurora, have arrested one person and investigated another involved in the commission of the crimes of homicide and robbery with violence and intimidation.
The Guardia Civil initiated an investigation into the violent death of a woman in her home on 10 September 2021 in the town of Albox.
The facts caused great commotion in the locality given that the victim was well known for being a lottery seller.
The investigation was undertaken from the beginning by specialists from the Guardia Civil who, with the support of personnel based in Albox and other units, carried out the corresponding actions both initially at the scene of the incident and later in the reconstruction of what happened, using a significant deployment of human and material resources.
After a year of intense investigations, the Judicial Authority is provided with the result that allows for the clarification of what happened on the night of the events, concluding the actions with the arrest of one person and the investigation of another who is in prison for other acts. Both are implicated in the crimes of homicide and robbery with violence and intimidation.
The detainee was remanded in custody by order of the Judicial Authority, and the other person under investigation was also found to be involved in the facts.
The proceedings were handed over to the Juzgado de Instrucción nº 2 of Huércal Overa.
The collaboration of the public has been fundamental for the resolution of the investigation.
