The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Águilas have arrested two experienced criminals as alleged perpetrators of the crime of robbery with force in the warehouse of a company located in an industrial estate in the municipality of Águilas, according to sources from the Benemérita in a statement.
The action began when the Civil Guard was alerted to the possible theft in the warehouse of a company in Aguilas, so that, in collaboration with the local police of the locality, troops Prevention of Public Safety of the Benemérita conducted a reconnaissance of the area.
As a result of police coordination, the officers located a suspicious vehicle in the area and identified its occupants, two men, who had a police record.
Examination of the vehicle revealed several objects, which they could not prove they were in legitimate possession of and which, due to their characteristics, could correspond to materials and tools stolen from the company that was the target of the robbery.
The investigations carried out determined that the suspects had just committed a robbery with force moments before being surprised by the Guardia Civil and Local Police, so they were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crime of robbery with force.
The recovered objects, valued at around 500 euros, have been recognised and returned to their legitimate owner.
The detainees, the effects seized and the proceedings have been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction of Lorca (Murcia).
