The Guardia Civil of the Almeria Command intercepted 350 kg of hashish hidden in a double bottom of the vehicle where they were transported and dismantled the operational base in El Ejido from where the shipments were prepared, where different samples of the drug (around 2,000 gr), numerous firearms and ammunition, 2 vehicles used for transport and 2 jet skis used during the landings were intercepted.
This operation, known as “Operation Rudoni”, is part of the unceasing work carried out by the Guardia Civil of the Almeria Command in the fight against the trafficking, processing and/or cultivation of narcotic substances in the province.
This operation is the result of the basic intelligence and information obtained in relation to transport, storage, procedures, locations, etc. of previous drug operations.
Operation Rudoni began in the early hours of 23 September when, during a preventive control, the Guardia Civil of the Almeria Command located 350 kg of hashish hidden in a double bottom of the vehicle in which it was being transported.
The Guardia Civil personnel in charge of the investigation linked the transport with the place where the load was produced, a farm located in El Ejido, a place with extreme security measures to avoid police action and that of other organisations dedicated to drug trafficking.
The Guardia Civil of Almeria organised an operation to inspect and search the farm, where they seized around 2,000 grams of the samples that the perpetrators offered to their clients, as well as the drugs prepared for distribution, a significant amount of money, 5 firearms with a large quantity of ammunition, two vehicles and two jet skis used to land the drugs.
As a result of operation “Rudoni”, carried out by OCON-SUR and the EDOA group of the Judicial Police Unit of the Guardia Civil Command in Almeria, 3 people were arrested.
The proceedings, together with the detainees, are placed at the disposal of the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 2 of El Ejido, which decrees their imprisonment.
