The deadline for registration is 31 October.

The Community of Municipalities of the Almanzora Valley offers the possibility of training in green skills or digital skills to unemployed women in the region.

It is an initiative that makes it possible “to offer a new opportunity to those women who for certain circumstances have not been able to train, which often prevents them from accessing existing job offers,” says Antonio Ramón Salas, president of the Association and mayor of Alcóntar.

The registration period is open until 31 October and is aimed at women registered in the municipalities belonging to the Community of Municipalities of Almanzora; Albanchez, Alcóntar, Bayarque, Chercos, Cóbdar, Fines, Laroya, Líjar, Lúcar, Macael, Olula del Río, Oria, Serón, Sierro, Suflí, Tíjola, Urrácal and Zurgena.

The training courses will take place in the municipality of Olula del Río and preference will be given to women who have no studies and who have been unemployed for at least the last year.

Those who complete the course will receive a grant of 515 euros and once the training process has been completed, the Mancomunidad will provide a kind of accompaniment and approach to the companies that need this qualified workforce.

In this respect, Salas added that “the Community Association will be a meeting place, even for those who want to undertake their own or associative projects, as is already happening with experiences where, for example, groups of women have formed teams to prune, cure and carry out certain tasks in the countryside, for which accredited qualifications are required”.

“I encourage them to contact the Mancomunidad on 950 42 69 69 and talk to those responsible for this initiative. They will realise that it is not difficult, that we are here to help those who need it and that training and accreditation are necessary tools when it comes to doing a job.

The project is funded by the Andalusian Employment Service of the Andalusian Regional Government. Recovery, transformation and resilience plan. Government of Spain. European Union, through the Next Generation EU recovery instrument.
