
Almeria Provincial Council brings sport to every corner of the province and, within this great objective, one of its most important programmes is ‘Almería Juega Limpio Cohesiona’, with an inclusive perspective, promotes sport as a vehicle for intervention and reduction of the ‘sporting gap’ between those groups that require special attention.
Recently, in the Moisés Ruiz Sports Pavilion, the final phase of adapted indoor football was played as part of this programme in which 105 sportsmen and women participated in eleven teams belonging to nine social entities from different municipalities in the province.
The provincial deputy Francisco Álvarez took part in the prize-giving ceremony for the participating teams and emphasised that «you are all champions. Sport is a powerful tool for equal opportunities between people from Almeria and with its practice you get many benefits for your health while you have fun sharing leisure time with colleagues from other entities».
