The Provincial Council of Almeria has reinforced its commitment to Equality with the launch of a training action aimed at a total of 76 women from 11 municipalities in the province. Specifically, this initiative consists of specialised tele-training in the care of dependent people at home.
The provincial deputy for Equality, Nuria Rodriguez, has inaugurated this training action that has 70 hours of training ‘on line’ which is aimed at residents of the municipalities of Berja, Carboneras, Fiñana, Garrucha, Lucainena de las Torres, Olula del Rio, Padules, Paterna, Purchena, Santafé de Mondújar and Viator.
This course is included in the training programme for employment aimed at women in the province of Almería, which is designed by the Provincial Council together with the participating municipalities according to the needs of professional profiles in their local employment market.
In total, as indicated by the provincial deputy, this Plan consists of 700 hours of training divided into 10 courses, five face-to-face and five online.
Nuria Rodríguez has “wished the participants that this course is the beginning of a new personal and professional stage” and explained that this initiative responds to “one of the main objectives for which the Diputación de Almería works transversally from all its areas: equal opportunities among Almerians. Training is essential to increase women’s possibilities of access to the labour market and to improve their professional skills and competitiveness”.
