The PP of Serón criticises the mayor for opposing proposals for improvements in the village
The Popular spokesperson, Celia Granados, denounces the fact that the mayor does not count on a political group that represents more than 40% of the residents of Serón.
Through a press release, the Popular Party of Serón has made public a summary of what it understands to be the result of the Plenary Session held on Thursday.

In the plenary session of this Thursday 10/11/2022, the mayor of Serón has demonstrated his lack of political restraint and inability to reach agreements with the Popular group, which represents more than 40% of the residents of Serón.
The Popular group in the aforementioned Plenary has presented three motions asking for actions demanded by the vast majority of the people, which the mayor and his group have rejected.

To initiate the procedures for the construction of a treatment plant that works and that the bad smells that we have been suffering for so many years disappear.
The extension of the gymnasium, so that group activities have adequate space and that the toilets and changing rooms have a minimum of dignity.
That a lighting study of the municipality (town and neighbourhoods) be carried out so that adequate lighting can be installed according to real needs; since when the new lights were installed, 100% of what was planned was modified without there being any technical document to justify it and the reality is that, to date, the lighting in the streets is inferior and of poorer quality than necessary. In the same communiqué, they state that with the help of their spokesperson Celia Granados, the PP has demonstrated its capacity for consensus by approving a motion from the socialist youth on improvements in the financing of the “Youth Employment” programme set up by the government of Juanma Moreno, “youths who kept quiet while the socialist government of the Junta de Andalucía spent the money of the unemployed on what we all know”. The Popular Party also supported the Institutional Declaration drafted by the Mayor: “25th November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Fighting for zero violence”.
On the other hand, in the round of questions and requests, the PP said, “we have drawn attention to the fact that a laudable initiative such as the Citizen Participation Process, which the mayor has set in motion, without counting on the group that represents more than 40% of the population and in breach of the Law that regulates the procedure. According to the mayor himself, he “actively participated in its drafting”. “To give us an idea of the new mayor’s attitude, he is in breach of the law that he himself drafted and, furthermore, bearing in mind that politicians cannot participate in the process, it does not hurt him to take part in the different meetings that are being organised”, they say.
In the same turn, it has been pointed out that the construction of the wall in Calle Huerta does not comply with the current structural legislation, the project having been drawn up by an architect in the pay of the Town Hall itself “who demands extreme compliance with all the regulations from the citizens”.
