The fair has 26 exhibitors, activities for the whole family and different exhibitions.

26 companies of gastronomic products, handicrafts, sports or gifts, will meet in the IX Edition of the Fair “Almería Tiene Norte” with numerous activities for the whole family.

The municipality of Fines celebrates this Sunday, 20th November, the 9th edition of the “Almería Tiene Norte” Fair. After two years of pandemic, this gastronomic event returns with almost thirty exhibitors, entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector who will offer for sale products made in the Almanzora, Levante and Los Vélez, such as honey, cheese, beer, sausages, preserves, wine, chocolates, sweets; a whole range of possibilities for the upcoming Christmas holidays.

The Fair, which will be held in the Town Hall Square from 9am to 6pm, will also feature young entrepreneurs and artisans who are committed to their land and will be selling their work; natural soaps, baby accessories, earrings, natural cosmetics, handmade headbands and accessories. And as usual, there will be a varied representation of local commerce with clothes, gifts, books, sports and renewable energies.

“With this fair we manage to promote and support companies in our region, we encourage local consumption for Christmas with products made in our land, and this has a direct impact on our villages. If we want to fix the population, we need entrepreneurs to stay and live in their village,” says the mayor of Fines, Rodrigo Sanchez, who will carry out the inauguration of Almeria Tiene Norte at 13 hours, accompanied by the vice president of the Provincial Council, Fernando Jimenez, the territorial delegate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Antonio Mena and the territorial delegate of Justice, Local Government and Public Service, Carmen Navarro.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy an exhibition of classic motorbikes.

In parallel to the sale of all kinds of gastronomic products, many of them belonging to the Diputación’s Gourmet brand ‘Sabores Almería’, numerous activities have been organised for the whole family from early in the morning; family bicycles and inline skates concentration, exhibition of painting or esparto grass. Cooking workshop for children, exhibition of classic motorbikes.

Throughout the day there will be different musical performances by the Coro Rociero San Esteban, the Trio Jazz Ada, and the stellar performance of La Espartera ‘Vuelve la Rumba’ to liven up the midday fair.

It should be noted that, in parallel, there will be raffles, including a weekend getaway for two people among the purchases made at the Fair. There will also be free inflatable mattresses for children and the best atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.

The Fair, organised by the Town Council of Fines, has the support of the Diputación de Almería and Sabores Almería, which this year is joined by the Junta de Andalucía, through the Delegation of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and its brand Gusto del Sur.
