Shortly after nine o’clock at night several calls were received at the Emergency Coordination Centre 1-1-2 reporting a serious accident at kilometre 3 of the C-15 road, known as the road to El Santo, in the municipality of Lorca.

The victim of the accident had to be rescued by firefighters from the Consorcio de Extinción de Incendios y Salvamento and taken to the Hospital General Universitario Rafael Méndez, in Lorca, by a medicalised ambulance from the Gerencia de Emergencias y Urgencias Sanitarias 061 after being attended to at the scene by the ambulance staff.
