The sub-delegate of the Government in Almería, José María Martín Fernández, chaired the municipal commission for monitoring cases of male violence in the town council of Cantoria. The commission meets twice a year, with the government team at the head and the presence of the Guardia Civil, Local Police, health care teams and representatives of women’s groups.
At present, Cantoria, integrated in the VioGén system, has a low rate of cases of gender violence: these do not exceed half a dozen in a town with more than 4,000 inhabitants.
