Cantoria 2017 were held to a draw after the match played this Sunday against CD Rincón, corresponding to the tenth matchday of group 2 of the Andalusian Division of Honour.
The team from Malaga, who are the sole leaders of the group, had only drawn one match out of eight played, winning the remaining seven. With these credentials, they went to Cantoria against an irregular team in need of a new belief in themselves.
The first half hour was all for the Aurinegros, who still lacked effectiveness in front of goal. Miguel Ángel had a chance in the 2nd minute, in the 8th minute Raúl tested the keeper from outside the area, in the 19th minute Joki saved a one-on-one from Reche. 0-0 and the two went to the break but the crowd at Los Olivos this Sunday morning could see that the game was winnable.

Rincon’s first approach came in the first few minutes of the restart, when a free kick was well saved by Alberto. But in the 13th minute, Yerai got the back of the defenders, galloped down the right flank and beat Alberto. The Rincón de la Victoria side took the lead on the counter and as in other matches the feeling was that Cantoria deserved more. The striker had arrived once and put it in.
The locals didn’t let up and went for the equaliser. In the 22nd minute Reche took advantage of an indecisive red defence and shot past Joki. It was 1-1, a score that would not change until the end.
Cantoria 2017 could have won the game in the 33rd minute when Cerri took the ball inside the box and sent it into the back of the net. The referee, at the behest of the linesman, called a dubious offside call on the Cantoria attacker.
Next Sunday the Almanzora side travel to Granada to visit Atarfe Industrial.
