For three days the Canal Sur television producer visited the region focusing on Bacares, Tíjola, Olula del Río and Albox. The programme that has been recorded is dedicated to the «Pilgrim’s Route of the Almanzora», a route that joins in four stages the two most important pilgrimage centres in the province of Almeria; El Santo Cristo del Bosque in Bacares and the Sanctuary of El Saliente in Albox.
For the recording of this program, Canal Sur has had the collaboration of the four municipalities, the association of tourism entrepreneurs Valle del Almanzora, the Sanctuary of the Saliente, Museo Ibáñez and several companies and residents of the region.
In Bacares, the filming focused on the Church and the Santo Cristo del Bosque, which are the start of the route, as well as a walk through the municipality.

Tíjola hosted a hiking route along its section of the Vía Verde and a stop at the Bar de la Estación.
In Olula del Río the protagonists were the cyclists on a bike route along the Vía Verde. Afterwards, a visit was made to the city of culture, entering the Ibáñez Museum.
In Albox the recording focused on the Church of Santa Maria and the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Saliente which symbolises the end of the pilgrim route.
The programme is completed with the recording of a restaurant «El Guiño» in Olula del Rio, a rural house – «Casa Las Flores» – in Tijola and an activity «Taller de Barro» in the pottery «Los Puntas» in Albox.
The programme Destino Andalucía can be seen every Saturday at 14:00 hours on Canal Sur although it is usually repeated on different days and time slots. This one dedicated to the pilgrim route is scheduled to be broadcast at the end of January.
It is the sixth time that the tourism entrepreneurs of the Almanzora collaborate with Canal Sur in the realization of a tourism program.
