Education and Cosentino Group coordinate shared solutions for teaching staff
The delegate of Education and the general director of Human Resources of the Junta propose solutions to fill the specific positions of training cycles that work jointly with the Cosentino Group.

The delegate for Educational Development and Vocational Training, Francisco Alonso Martínez, has visited Cosentino’s facilities in the Marble Region together with the director general of Teaching Staff and Human Resources Management, Pablo Quesada Ruiz, and the head of the Human Resources service, Alfredo Rodríguez Valverde, to attend to the demands for the teaching staff needed to teach in the intermediate and advanced training cycles related to the company.

Alonso stated that «a satisfactory solution has already been found so that next academic year the school will have all the staff necessary to teach the courses on offer». He added that «the aspiring CCFF teachers at the centre must join on 1 September in order to offer students the courses with the required quality». Cosentino’s job offer for the citizens of the area is extensive and requires qualified staff, so «we need trained teachers to meet the needs of both training and the company».

The solution has come from the HR general manager, Pablo Quesada. He has proposed two measures to solve the dilemma they have encountered at the IES. The measures proposed are, on the one hand, to bring forward the call for specific posts to February so that the allocation is prior to the placement of staff in July and, on the other hand, to offer specific training as a merit and not as a requirement in this call. This training could be approved by the Administration and the applicant, if he or she does not have the training, must undertake to take it. Quesada pointed out that «the key is that we are solving this problem in December».

Both the director of IES Juan Rubio Ortiz, Manuel Martínez Osorio, and the coordinator of training cycles, Encarni Sabiote, were very satisfied after the meeting, as the demands they made to the delegate at the beginning of the academic year have been heard and resolved for the 2023-2024 academic year. Encarni Sabiote said that «we are very grateful that the delegate has been interested in the problem since the beginning of the school year». For his part, the headmaster of the school stressed that «it has been a very fruitful meeting as the proposed solutions are ideal for both the school and the company». José Salas, representative of the company, agreed that the solution offered is very favourable for the sector.
