The municipalities of Líjar and Albanchez are improving their municipal services and infrastructures thanks to investments from the Diputación de Almería. The Provincial Institution has approved a package of investments for these two municipalities that will allow the construction of a Municipal Warehouse, as well as the extension of one of the main roads in Albanchez.
The provincial deputy for Development, Antonio J. Rodríguez, has highlighted the fact that both works have already been awarded and will have a direct impact on the wellbeing of both municipalities: «The Provincial Plans are fundamental for the municipalities of the province because they allow them to carry out projects which, on their own, would be very difficult to undertake and which improve the quality of life and equalise services and opportunities for the people of Almería».
In the case of Líjar, the project will consist of the construction of a municipal building with adapted toilets. The building will have an entrance area, toilets, a cleaning room and a storage area tailored to the needs of the Town Hall. Part of the plot will be left free as public space and will be delimited by a false façade fence that follows the alignments of the surroundings. This action will be financed with an investment of 220,000 euros from the Provincial Plans of the Provincial Institution.

On the other hand, in Albanchez, the project to be executed consists of the extension of Constitución of 1978 Street, as well as the complementary construction of an above-ground car park next to the municipal building Espace Escénic Rafael Alberti.
