The Town Council of Fines and the Provincial Council have joined forces to promote the Solidarity Trail in favour of little Ángel, which will be held on 8 January. The aim of this initiative is to help the family of this little boy from Fines, who suffers from cerebral palsy, to finance the treatment that helps to improve his quality of life.
The Moisés Ruiz Pavilion brought together the Deputy for Sport, José Antonio García, the Fines Sports Councillor, José Manuel López, as well as the mother and the physiotherapist, Lidia Parra, to announce the opening of registration for an event that brings together the values of sport and solidarity.
José Antonio García invited the people of Almeria to take part in the «unmissable event» on 8 January in Fines. «I invite you to take part in this solidarity initiative in favour of Ángel because, first of all, we are going to promote sport, enjoy the Almanzora Valley and go hiking, but above all it gives us the opportunity to show solidarity and contribute to all the money raised going to Ángel’s family».

He also praised the work of the Town Hall, the Senderos de Almanzora Sports Club and Ángel’s family for making this initiative a reality.
Lopez stressed that «from the City Council of Fines we invite you to this solidarity trail where the full proceeds will go to little Angel who suffers from cerebral palsy» and said that with this event «sport will be a link to promote healthy lifestyles and help people who really need it.
For her part, the physiotherapist who is carrying out the treatment explained that «cerebral palsy is a lesion in the brain that affects everything in the musculoskeletal system and the communication system, it is like a map and each lesion in that part of the brain influences aspects of the child’s development».
In this sense, he detailed that «patients need a multidisciplinary team, child physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapist and psychology, so it is such a global rehabilitation that it is a great expense for the family. That is why I wanted to invite you to help our Angelillo through this race, because you are also helping our Angelillo and we can work with him to get the most we can out of him».
