This is a very useful tool for the hearing impaired.

The Hospital La Inmaculada, in the North Health Management Area of Almeria, has implemented the TurnoSAS patient notification and location system in its consultation and diagnostic tests service, consisting of a shift system that assigns each patient an alphanumeric code that is projected on the different screens and replaces the traditional public address system. The codes are stored on easy-to-use touch-screen devices that are given to patients by the admission staff on arrival at the hospital.
The TurnoSAS system allows patients to take their turn during the entire process of their stay in the consulting rooms, since, once they have passed reception, they will be called from the waiting room via the screens on which their codes appear to direct them to the different rooms, whether medical or nursing consultations, or to the room for the different procedures. The main objectives of this improvement in patient care, as well as improving patient care and respecting their privacy, are to improve the flow of patients who attend appointments for consultations and diagnostic tests at the Huércal-Overa regional hospital. It is expected to be installed in the Emergency Department in the near future.
This initiative complies with the Organic Law on Data Protection, maintaining the anonymity of the patients in the different waiting rooms, as well as being a very useful tool for the hearing impaired. TurnoSAS is a queue management system that controls the capacity in the waiting rooms and the flow of people, increasing patient safety and streamlining user care circuits. It also improves the comfort of users during the time they spend in the centre and improves the confidentiality of their data by replacing previous mechanisms of appointment delivery and patient call by name and surname.

Patient management for consultations and diagnostic tests
Patients who come with an appointment pick up a ticket on arrival at the hospital with a code and information on where to go. Once in the waiting room, the patient will be notified via the screens located in the waiting room.
TurnoSAS also allows the control of patients in areas that do not have previous appointments, such as admission or information. These patients can be managed on a nominal or generic basis.
