Last Saturday more than 300 children from the municipality gathered in the Plaza de los Bancos in Olula del Río for the traditional and eagerly awaited Kneading Workshop organised by the Olula del Río Town Council, which aims to “foster affection for the festivities in honour of San Sebastián and San Ildefonso”, according to councillor Miguel Torregrosa.
At around eleven o’clock in the morning and from the balcony of the town hall, the workshop got underway, where the children literally got down to work. Afterwards, under the supervision of the bakery manager Mariana, they proceeded to bake the doughnuts. While the doughnuts were being baked, which will later be thrown at the passage of the saints, everyone took part in popular games in the Town Hall square.
