
The Mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Tourism, Antonio Martínez, collected last night in Madrid, the eight “Q” of Quality that the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute, ICTE. has awarded to the City Council of San Javier.
The presentation of the awards took place during the celebration of the “Q Night 23” which was held to coincide with the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, in the Crystal Gallery of the Palacio de Cibeles of the Madrid City Hall and chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto and the president of the ICTE, Miguel Mirones.
The eight “Q” for Quality collected by San Javier are awarded to the two municipal Tourist Offices and six beaches, three in Santiago de la Ribera and three in La Manga del Mar Menor.

The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo pointed out that “the renewal of these awards demonstrates the commitment of the Department of Tourism to continue working with quality standards” and said that “we continue to work to increase the number of beaches with this distinction”.
Luengo recalled that San Javier also has three blue flags and five with “S” for Sustainable Tourism.
