Villa de Fines women’s futsal team are back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats. They beat CD Marqués de Nervión from Seville 6-4 at home.
A match in which coach Francis Cano had the full squad at his disposal, recovering players who were carrying various injuries.
At half-time the home side went in with a minimal advantage after an early goal by María Moreno in the 4th minute. The excitement would come in the second half, when after a 4-1 lead in favour of the blue and whites, the match ended 6-4, but not without suffering.
The local coach expressed his satisfaction after the match, «for winning again at home, which is our home ground, for having the whole squad and for the commitment of my players who have achieved a victory that allows us to stay in the fight for promotion with the second half of the season still to come».
The fight in the chasing pack of Avanza Jaén, who visit Colegio Los Olivos this Sunday, is getting interesting.
Villa de Fines occupy third position, with the same number of points (28) as their opponents on Saturday, but the best thing was the image and the recovery of sensations.
For the home side, María Moreno scored in the 4th minute, Mari in the 22nd and 25th, Nerea in the 31st and Karen in the 33rd and 40th.
The goals for the Sevillians were scored by Pliego in the 30th minute, Sofia twice (’33 and ’40) and Patricia in the 36th minute.
The next matchday (5th February), the 14th in the Women’s Senior Division of Honour, Villa de Fines will play again at the Fernando Navarrete Pavilion where they will host Villacarrillo, a team who have not managed to score so far.
