The territorial delegate of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Industrial Policy and Energy, Guillermo Casquet, has paid a visit to the Town Hall of Urrácal, where he was received by its mayoress, Emilia Mateo. The Regional Government of Andalusia delegate signed the town hall’s book of honour and held a meeting to discuss the different types of aid that can be applied for to improve the situation of the municipality.
Casquet explained the subsidies that are currently open for energy efficiency and which are processed through the Andalusian Energy Agency. He also informed them of the regional incentives that companies located in their municipality can apply for and the new aid that will be launched by the TRADE Agency in a short period of time. Likewise, the delegate wanted them to know about other types of subsidies that come from European Funds such as the ERDF and EAFRD.
Afterwards, the territorial delegate went to one of the companies in the municipality, Almazara Cucurrull, where he visited its production area accompanied by its owner, Juan Pallarés. Casquet also took the opportunity to learn from the master miller about the oil production process in this company.
During the meeting, the delegate presented the possible aid available to improve their machinery, as well as to promote greater energy efficiency, since “the Regional Government of Andalusia is making an important effort to improve the sustainability of all Andalusian businesses, and this includes promoting energy efficiency, among many other actions”.
Guillermo Casquet has stated that “this type of meeting is very productive for both parties, as small and medium-sized companies need to know about the numerous subsidies that the Regional Government of Andalusia has set up and which they can apply for”. In addition, “these meetings also serve to find out about the situation of our business community”. Casquet emphasised that during the visit “I was able to hear from the owner, Ramona Cucurrull, about the difficult beginnings and the passion that she and her husband put into this project, which is now being continued by her children”.
