National Police officers have arrested a 55-year-old woman of Dutch nationality in Lorca (Murcia) as the alleged owner of an indoor marijuana plantation in a country house in the La Torrecilla district, according to sources from the Corps in a statement.

The investigation revealed that the house had a shed on the same property that had been fitted out as a carpentry workshop in which there was a false movable wall that had to be unblocked.

Behind this door was hidden access to a compartmentalised room in three rooms with a sophisticated lighting and refrigeration system, where the marijuana plantation was being carried out.

During the police action, they seized 1.5 kilograms of marijuana buds already cut, dried and ready for distribution on the illicit market; 336 marijuana plants; 45 LED lights; three air conditioning machines; three carbon air extraction devices and eight fans.

The detainee, who is alleged to have committed a crime against public health, has been taken to court and the relevant judicial measures have been adopted.
