The territorial delegate of Justice, Local Administration and Public Function, Carmen Navarro, has visited Tíjola where she has highlighted the 120,000 euros in aid received in this town thanks to the subsidies for disasters promoted by the Andalusian Government. Together with the mayor, José Juan Martínez, they toured some of the actions that have been carried out through this line of aid.
Navarro detailed that the subsidies have been used for the reconstruction of a car park wall for 60,847 euros, the reconstruction of the wall of the municipal park for 24,014 euros and the reconstruction of a retaining wall for infrastructures for 35,137 euros. In this way, the delegate assured that «this is aid promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia for local entities in order to address needs arising from emergency or disaster situations».
The visit also included information on the funds provided by the Andalusian Government for the Programme for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment, PFEA, in Tíjola. In total for the year 2022 this municipality of the Almanzora has 69,524 euros from the Regional Government of Andalusia for actions such as paving, conditioning of green areas and public spaces and access to rural housing in El Higueral.
In addition, the Consejería de Administración Local also granted 15,000 euros last year for the reinforcement of health and also intended for the recruitment in the Residencia San Sebastián in this municipality.
For his part, the mayor of Tíjola thanked the Andalusian government for «the various lines of aid set up for the municipalities that serve to solve problems caused by inclement weather such as those recorded in the spring of last year». Martínez highlighted «the total collaboration and dialogue that exists between the Consistory and the Regional Government of Andalusia, which results in improved services for citizens».
