THE FEAST OF CANDLEMAS FLOODS THE DIOCESAN SHRINE OF EL SALIENTE WITH LIGHT
On the occasion of the feast of the Presentation of Our Lord and the Purification of Our Lady, the Diocesan Shrine of Saliente was flooded with the light of the Pilgrims. Families from all over the country came with their little ones to meet the Little One.
In the chapel of Our Lady, the parents presented the little ones to the Rector so that they could receive the blessing. Then, under the galleries of the eighteenth-century cloister, the blessing of the candles took place and the liturgical procession to the chapel, where Holy Mass was celebrated accompanied by the songs of Rosabel Oller Sevilla.
At the end, in the Cloister, the Secretary of the Sanctuary raffled off the » Cake of the Virgin», made with an old recipe in the Pocicas of Albox. The innocent hand of a little pilgrim has assigned the winner.
