Caring for the environment, contributing to its development and educating in values are part of the message and the task of raising awareness in order to live in a better world.
In the municipality of Olula del Río, the Town Hall and schools go hand in hand and in the schools the educational community works in their school gardens through various projects such as the Village Plan in order to raise awareness, educate and work on environmental sustainability and care for the planet.
This Thursday saw the planting of five carob trees with the students of IES Rosa Navarro, where authorities and municipal workers collaborated with the students.

The initiative is part of the Savia Plan, which this year will plant a total of 190 trees and 150 shrubs.
«We are directing these plantations to the students of the educational centres, having clear the importance of raising awareness in this area, as well as transmitting respect for trees and their care», assures councillor Miguel Torregrosa.
Last week schools and high schools took part in another planting of similar characteristics along the route of the Almanzora Greenway.
