The Local Board of the Popular Party of Huércal Overa endorsed the candidacy of Domingo Fernández for the mayoralty of the municipality in the next municipal elections on 28th May.

From the PP they assure that «Domingo is synonymous with good management, in recent years have been implementing major projects that are transforming Huércal-Overa, such as the new bridge of San Isidro, two school canteens (Colegio Virgen del Río and Tierno Galván), the new Municipal School of Music or the access road to the Hospital by La Molineta, among others.

The Partido Popular also explains that, «with Domingo Fernández, Huércal-Overa is on the right track. The municipality is growing and the people of Huercal are enjoying more and better services, since his arrival as mayor.

For his part, the Popular candidate thanked his party for the support and backing received over the last few years, expressing his desire to continue working for the wellbeing of the people of Huercal, «I am proud, as mayor, to see how we are transforming the municipality, with our neighbours, making Huércal-Overa a more active city full of opportunities day by day».

He also recalled that «we have recently surpassed 20,000 inhabitants, and this makes us one of the main municipalities in the province. Undoubtedly, there are more and more people from neighbouring towns who want to come and live here, because we are a town with quality services and infrastructures».

Fernández also explained that this 28th May he is standing for election again «to continue working for all the people of Huercal», in what he calls »a project that represents all the people of Huercal».

Domingo Fernández’s candidacy will be presented, along with that of other Popular candidates from the largest municipalities in Andalusia, on 12 February, in Seville, at an event to be attended by Juanma Moreno and Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
