Agents of the Command of the Guardia Civil of Almeria arrested on Thursday night the woman who last month tried to leave the country with a 14 year old minor resident in the town of Berja.
This action is the result of the continuous work carried out by the Guardia Civil on certain investigations that do not end with the arrest of the perpetrators and are complemented in the field of security risk prevention.
Last January, a resident of Berja reported to the Guardia Civil in El Ejido that her 14-year-old daughter had left her home that morning to go to school and had not returned, and the school informed her that she had not gone to class. From her daughter’s entourage it is known that she could be with a person of foreign nationality whom she knows through the Internet, but no one has any further information about this.

The Guardia Civil, within the framework of international police cooperation, checks the author’s route of entry into Spain and, with the coordination and protection of the judicial authority, allows the minor to be reunited with her family and prevents the minor from leaving the country.
The detainee, after her arrest last month, contacted the minor again through a music application that allows instant messaging.
The agents proceeded to arrest her for a crime of breach of sentence as the judicial authority had forbidden communication between the detainee and the minor.
The proceedings conducted by the Guardia Civil together with the detainee are placed at the disposal of the Duty Court of Almeria.
